Baby Jack and the sad old hound

Fresh little babies… I love a newborn shoot. My aim is to capture the newness and change that happens in a family basically overnight. For brand new parents, I love the awkward protective holds, the piles of baby gear that they’re trying to figure out how and when to use, the lightning fast reaction to soothe and those tired but hopelessly in love eyes that reality seems to snap you out after you’ve slept a few nights in a row.

I also love this poor hound dog Okie. The sweet but muscle bound rescue from North Bay Humane Society. I’m sure he and Jack will be best buds soon, but this mope is definitely in mourning for his previous pack status.
