Ottawa Tennis Club Wedding

The Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club was sentimental and practical choice for Chloe and Geoff’s wedding. Both logged a lot of hours there in their youth, growing up around the corner from it, attending tennis lessons and working there in their teens.

The bright and airy indoor space, and lawn area packed with games and room to mingle was walking distance from both their family’s homes where they got ready. Chloe got ready with her closest pals, getting help putting on eyelashes and lovingly guarded by her foster fail dog Scar, who I had a hard time not kidnaping. It felt like I was photographing the adult version of teens getting ready for a night out. Every mirror and outlet occupied with curling irons and makeup bags. The same level of anticipation was in the air.

At the groom’s parent’s house everyone was relaxed, having beers and enjoying a very nice snack spread. When it was time, they packed up the cornhole game and moseyed on down to the OTLBC.

That was very much the intentional pace of the day. Chloe and Geoff just wanted everyone to slow down and enjoy themselves, and they totally nailed that.
